At present I work as profesor ayudante doctor (assistant professor) at the Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering (University of Zaragoza, Spain). I am member of the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A) and of the Distributed Information Systems research group.

Recently (from 2009 to 2017) I worked as researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain, where I attained a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral position. In that period I belonged to the Ontology Engineering Group (OEG), participating in leading research projects on semantics and knowledge engineering.

From 2004 to 2009 I worked at the University of Zaragoza, teaching and researching as Part-time Lecturer and as Ayudante (Assistant). I also stayed for six months at Knowldege Media Institute (Open University, United Kingdom) as Visiting Researcher.

From 1998 to 2003 I worked at companies belonging to the Accenture group and the Telecom Italia group, taking part in software engineering projects for important telecommunications and service firms (Retevisión, Auna, Danone), thus having acquired knowledge and experience in these areas:
